What can I expect from my energy audit?
The data from the house visit along with typical 'energy use' data is put into our simulation program to obtain a detailed analysis of the energy use of your house. We evaluate the costs, benefits, payback and carbon reduction of any fixes/changes or updates.
We generate a final report that gives a punch list of recommendations ordered in most to least "bang for the buck". This includes estimated cost, payback and carbon reduction. It also includes detailed descriptions of any problems found along with estimated costs of repairs and upgrades.
We include current information regarding tax credits for applicable updates. A list of our partner contractors that can carry out the work if you wish is provided. If you choose to use one of our contractors, we will come back to reevaluate their work. As part of our agreements with them, the contractor will pay for the second visit to your home.
